The Best Food Cities in America

America has some really good food. There are all different types of cultural influences, depending on area. But what are the best food cities in America. Here is my list with explanations, in no particular order.
New York - Regardless of the type of food you want, it can be had, pretty much at any hour, in New York. Some of the best restaurants in New York include Le Bernardin, Daniel, Per Se and Masa. The city is home to five three star Michelin restaurants, the most of any American city.
New Orleans - When it comes to culture, New Orleans has every other American City beat. The food is no exception. Creole food is in a league of its own, taking French influence and Cajun flavors to create a unique style of cooking. Some popular Creole dishes include Crawfish etoufee and gumbo.
Las Vegas - Most major chefs have realized the potential of Vegas and opened up shop out here. Only in Vegas can you have a world class meal at 3 AM at places like Shibuya and N9NE steakhouse.
San Francisco - SF has become arguably the best food city in the country. In fact, chefs are leaving New York and heading out to San Francisco to open up restaurants. The Tex Mex out here is supposedly outstanding as well.
Chicago - Chicago may be the only American city that people are heading to solely for a restaurant. Alinea is known as one of the best restaurants in the world and through use of molecular gastronomy, is changing the food game forever.
Los Angeles - I will include LA on this list even though I may feel that it does not deserve to be on it. Most of the restaurants in LA are carbon copies of their New York counterparts. The sushi out here is arguably better.
If you feel that your city deserved to be on this list, then I'm sorry I left it out. This is what I feel are the best eating cities though.
